Study finds bearded men have cleaner faces than shaved men
A study shows, that your clean-shaven face is not really that clean. In a recent study from Journal of Hospital Infection, they found out that you men with beards are less likely to be carrying germs than your clean-shaven buddies.
After swabbing the faces of over 400 healthcare professionals, it was revealed that not having a beard actually increases chances of having an infection causing bacteria on the skin threefold.
So why do clean-shaven faces carry more microbes than the furry faces? It seems that micro-abrasions made to the face while shaving create tiny cuts in the skin, which help to collect bacteria and support its growth. --- Hm, that's interesting. How does your skin feel? Do you grow a beard or not? Let me know in the comments.
